Kickstarter might be the perfect platform for boardgame geeks everywhere. The latest darling of the platform is the boardgame adaption of Divinity Original Sin.
According to the Josh Derkson, the $900,000 stretch goal wasn’t a part of the original plan, and it wasn’t until receiving feedback at Boardgamegeek Con and via Kickstarter comments, that they decided to expand player interactions and dialogue with an additional 57 NPCs.
The NPC’s will reportedly feature heroes of the video game who will guide you on your quest with more choices and more in-depth dialogue that reacts to the keywords of the characters in your party.
“We continue to be blown away by your support for the game, and truly, with your input we are making it even better!”
Divinity Original Sin: The Board Game is an epic adventure game set in the world of Rivellon. Up to 4 players will get the opportunity to take their heroes on a branching, narrative adventure, filled with tactical combat and meaningful choices. Featuring the new Chronicle System; the developers claim that choices you make will impact not just your own story, but tantalising also the future of the Divinity Original Sin universe.
Based on the award-winning Divinity Original Sin II video game by Larian Studios, the board game developed by Lynnvander Studios expands Divinity in new directions, adding new stories, side quests, skills, items, and monsters, all in a brand unique tabletop experience.
