Altered Carbon RPG series on the table

Tell Poe to get the shotgun.

Skydance Media has reached a multi-year licensing agreement with Hunters Entertainment to produce tabletop role-playing games set within the stunning sci-fi universe of the hit Netflix series, Altered Carbon.

The long-term agreement sets up a potential ongoing series of tabletop RPG books drawing from the full scope of the Altered Carbon universe, with direct tie-ins to the new second season expected in February 2020.

“Altered Carbon is such a rich and expansive universe… We look forward to producing an equally ambitious and inspired line of games for years to come”

IVan Van Norman, CMO and Co-Founder of HunteRs

Based upon the best-selling novels by Richard K Morgan, the Altered Carbon series might have been flawed but was ultimately a very entertaining ride. The dystopian Bladerunner-style urban future presented is a world where the human mind has been digitized and can be transferred and for the very rich, preserved for ever. The series follows Takeshi Kovacs, a former elite interstellar warrior known as an Envoy who has been imprisoned for 500 years, is downloaded into a future he’d tried to stop.

The games will begin with a Kickstarter campaign for the core RPG manual later this year, with plans for print and digital releases in 2020 through their global publishing deal with Renegade Game Studios.
