As a god of ancient Egypt, players will compete to survive as society. Players must build caravans, summon monsters, and convert followers in their quest to reign supreme.
The aim is for the game to be much shorter and quicker than Blood Rage or Rising Sun and to offer a much more different experience. Whereas Blood Rage reinterpreted the classic area control wargame and Rising Sun the slow Euro negotiator, Ankh has players take god level actions that then indirectly influence the movements and relationships of monsters and people beneath them. Despite this indirect control all gameplay in Ankh, including combat, is promised to be streamlined and non-random.
